Reiseplan

Arrival and panoramic visit of the town: Lungomare, the Castel dell’Uovo and so on. Then walking tour along the historical centre, nowadays Unesco World Heritage SitePatrimony with its Cathedral, San Gregorio Armeno and the Church of Gesù Nuovo.
In the morning departure for the island of Ischia, the green island where you will visit the Aragonese Castle, which stands on a rocky volcanic islet. After lunch you will visit Porto Sant’Angelo by minibus.
Today you will reach and visit the Royal Palace of Caserta, a former royal residence built by the Spanish as their main residence as kings of Naples. It is a Unesco World Heritage Site, the spectacular art of the Baroque, from which it adopted all the features needed to create the illusions of multidirectional space.
Today excursion to Vesuvio in the morning and to Herculaneum in the afternoon. Mount Vesuvius is best known for its eruption in AD 79 that led to the burying and destruction of the Roman cities of Pompeii, Herculaneum, Oplontis and Stabiae, as well as several other settlements. Vesuvius has erupted many times since and is the only volcano on the European mainland to have erupted within the last hundred years. Herculaneum is one of the few ancient cities to be preserved more or less intact, with no later accretions or modifications. Like its sister city, Pompeii, Herculaneum is famous for having been buried in lava and ash.
Pompeii, was an ancient Roman city when volcanic ash buried inhabitants who did not escape the lethal effects of the earthquake and eruption. Largely preserved under the ash, the excavated city offers a unique snapshot of Roman life, frozen at the moment it was buried and providing an extraordinarily detailed insight into the everyday life of its inhabitants. Later you will visit Oplontis, an ancient Roman archaeological site and then Sorrento, situated towards the end of the mountainous Sorrentine peninsula, over the hills from the famous resorts of the Amalfi Coast. In mythology, this area is often identified as the land of the sirens, beautiful maidens of the sea whose song lured mariners to their doom.
Today you will begin visiting the amazing Amalfi Coast with the town of Positano which never fails to seduce. Seen from the sea, Positano is set in a dramatic vertical panorama of colors; the green of the Monti Lattari, the white, pink and yellow of the Mediterranean houses, the silvery grey of its pebble beaches and the blue of the sea. Then Ravello, perched on a rocky outcrop, at 365 meters high, setted right in the middle of the Amalfi coast, overlooking the whole Gulf of Salerno. It is one of the most popular destinations of the coast, due to the irresistible fascination and fame that made it famous in the world, a perfect combination of art and music to deserve the acknowledgement as cultural heritage of UNESCO and the appellative of City of Music. Then Amalfi with its wonderful views, the white houses cling onto the rocks opposite the Saint Andrew Cathedral, and the main square which is also the town centre. You will visit the Villa Rufolo, which inspired Wagner in writing the Parsifal Opera and Villa Cimbrone with its magnificent gardens.
You will cross the sea to visit the magnificent island of Capri. Capri town is on the more cosmopolitan side of the island, with luxury boutiques, night clubs, and the famous Piazzetta, meeting place for islanders and visitors alike. Anacapri, on the other hand, has a more intimate and quiet atmosphere and is less crowded than Capri. Mount Solaro, the Blue Grotto (optional excursion), and the Punta Carena lighthouse are all near Anacapri.
After breakfast transfer to the airport.
